Discernment Process
We offer a discernment process for pastors and lay leaders bringing Spiritual Formation into their churches. The process is simple and we believe it is helpful. If you’ve experienced group discernment or spiritual direction it will be very familiar to you.
We will draw our attention to the following:
When you pray about next things, what is God drawing your attention towards?
What feels doable? What challenges will need attention?
What are you noticing in the people you’re serving: What are they saying? What are they asking for? What is underneath the surface-level requests?
Who are your leaders? Are they on this journey themselves? Are they teachable? Do they need equipping? What would be most supportive and helpful to them?
How does what your discerning fit within the whole church? Are there roadblocks? Green lights?
What is going on internally for you as you pray and follow where the Lord is leading? What support do you need?
We recommend monthly meetings via Zoom. We ask $75.00 if you're meeting with one of us and $130 if you meet with both Cheri and Lori. If this is a service you desire but the fee makes it inaccessible, please let us know and we will discern together what is possible.
Cheri has been hosting these kinds of discernment conversations since 2013 and it is one of her favorite ways to assist Spiritual Formation practitioners in the body of Christ.
